We have an exciting opportunity for a Social Work Assistant to join a new team within the Cwtch Family Centre.

This is maternity cover until mid-February 2025.


The role would support the parenting assessors and contact workers in relation to undertaking extended periods of contact for families and undertaking direct work that is linked to the family assessment requirements.

Newport is a forward thinking fast paced place to work and this will be a role that will give experience of work within Children's Services.

You will need to be able to work in a team, with multiagency working key, often to short timescales, within confidentiality, and be able to build good working relationships with children, young people and their families.
