Mid and South Essex NHS Foundation Trust are recruiting for a Service Coordinator to join our team based at our Broomfield Hospital site.


Our fantastic team are responsible for ensuring the smooth running of the Pain department and the management of complex patient pathways.


This role requires liaison with colleagues across the Trust from all disciplines and supports excellent clinical service to the patients.


The team requires a Service Coordinator to work with the existing admin team, Junior Service Manager, Clinical Lead and Service Manager to deliver excellent standards of care across the Trust.

The role of the service coordinator role will involve monitoring, maintaining 18 week RTT performance and as well as line management responsibilities for the admin team and some PA responsibilities

Close working with clinicians, MDT Coordinators, Operational management, admin teams and senior management team.


You will identify shortfalls in the service such as recruitment both medical and nursing & action requirement for additional sessions to maintain service provision.

Close management of performance across the service, working with the operational team to deliver the service reviewing demand and capacity to support the strategic direction on going.

  • Plan, develop, coordinate and implement solutions to improve waiting times, clear backlogs, review patient pathways and reduce Hospital cancellations and DNA rates.
  • Develop and prepare accurate reports to enable forward planning.
  • Reduce 18 Week breaches and validate weekly reports.
