Trade Marketing Executive
Leeds / Hybrid - typically Tues-Thurs in the office (LS15)
As a Trade Marketing Executive, you will play a crucial role in supporting the Trade Marketing Manager to drive brand visibility and sales through effective marketing strategies targeted at our trade partners and channels (retailers & distributors).
You will collaborate closely with the sales and marketing teams to develop and execute trade marketing campaigns, promotions, and initiatives that align with our brand objectives and resonate with our target audience.
Here are some of the EXCITING things you'll do:
- Develop Trade Marketing Strategies: Work closely with the marketing and sales teams to develop comprehensive trade marketing strategies that support the brand's overall objectives and drive sales growth with our retailers.
- Trade Promotion Planning and Execution: Plan and execute trade promotions, incentives, and campaigns to stimulate demand and increase product visibility at the point of sale. This includes developing promotional materials, POS displays, and merchandising solutions.
- Channel Support: Provide support to our trade partners, distributors, and retailers by delivering marketing materials, product training, and promotional support to enhance brand awareness and drive sales.
- Market Analysis and Insights: Conduct regular market analysis and research to identify market trends, competitor activities, and consumer insights. Utilize this information to develop effective trade marketing strategies and campaigns.
- Budget Management: Manage the trade marketing budget effectively, ensuring optimal allocation of resources to maximize ROI on marketing initiatives and campaigns.
- Crossfunctional Collaboration: Collaborate with internal teams including sales, marketing, product development, and supply chain to ensure alignment of trade marketing activities with overall business objectives and strategies.
- Performance Tracking and Reporting: Monitor and analyze the performance of trade marketing initiatives, promotions, and campaigns. Prepare regular reports and presentations to evaluate effectiveness and identify areas for improvement.
Some of what you'll ideally bring:
Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or related field.
Proven experience in a marketing environment - trade marketing and/or within the consumer or appliance industry would be an advantage
Strong understanding of trade marketing principles, strategies, and best practices.
Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data and insights to drive informed decisions.
Creative thinker with the ability to develop innovative marketing solutions.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite, especially Excel and PowerPoint.
Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
