To support our extraordinary teams who build great products and contribute to our growth, we're looking to add a
Test Team Leader located in
Blackburn.

Reporting to the
Deputy Production Manager, you will be tasked with testing all aspects of switchgear in accordance with general arrangement and schematic drawings as well as supporting in leading the current Test team.

This is an autonomous role where you will need to be able to multi-task and manage your time effectively.

What a typical day looks like:

Working alongside a colleague, demonstrating switchgear to clients during factory acceptance testing
Organising witness test area for client tested panels; ensuring mats are down, drawings are provided, and panels are clean
Attending site to commission switchgear and perform maintenance visits
Pragmatically diagnose faults and rectify where necessary
Filing panel photos on the company server in the correct location using the correct naming convention and ensuring other documentation associated with testing panels is correctly completed and filed / passed to the appropriate processor
Liaising with Project Managers, Electrical Design and other Team Leaders
Planning, organising and delegating work to appropriate staff
Liaising with Management to ensure the team has the necessary resources to achieve deadlines and monitoring progress of work
Ensuring Safe Working Procedures are always followed by the team
Ordering parts to ensure the team have all parts required to complete the job

The experience we're looking to add to our team:

Fantastic written and verbal communication skills
Experienced in testing / commissioning switchgear
Ability to organise own workload and use initiative
Confident under pressure and able to handle multifaceted objectives
High level of organisation
Efficient with thorough methods of working
