The East Midlands Health and Justice Commissioning Team is looking for a committed individual with proven administration experience to support our commissioning activities across the full portfolio of commissioned services.


Working closely with team members, the post holder will be responsible for providing high quality administrative support to the contract review process and commissioning cycle to ensure a robust audit trail is maintained.

As a Business Support Assistant, the post holder will work as part of a dynamic team in delivering an effective service supporting managers and staff across the East Midlands Health and Justice Commissioning Team.


In particular, the post holder will provide and coordinate administrative and secretarial services; including for example, the preparation of agendas and minutes, taking appropriate follow-up action as required.

Supporting the team with financial management, projects, gathering information and undertaking enquires as and when is necessary for all team members.

Colleagues with a contractual office base are expected to spend, on average, at least 40% of their time working in-person.


As a Business Support Assistant, the post holder will work as part of a dynamic team in delivering an effective service supporting managers and staff across the East Midlands office to Health and Justice Commissioning.

The postholder will require an understanding of the complexities and sensitivities of services commissioned by Health & Justice.

The post holder will provide and coordinate administrative and secretarial services; including for example,

the preparation of agendas and minutes, taking appropriate follow-up action as required.
Supporting the raising of Purchase Orders and receipting of invoices in line with Standing Financial Instructions and contract documentation.

supporting the team with the management of projects, gathering information and undertaking enquires as and when is necessary for the head of department, teams and the department.

Attend in person the monthly Health and Justice team meetings and travel to East Midlands commissioned services sites for meetings as required
