Description
An excellent opportunity has arisen for a cyber security professional to join the IT department of a local NHS Trust to help deliver key projects.
The successful applicant will be from a strong cyber security back ground and have a track record of successfullymanaging a team.
Duties will include:
- Ensure all security breaches are reported on and investigated with the emphasis on preventing reoccurrence and to promote a high level of security awareness throughout the organisation.
- Ensure the ongoing integration of information security architecture with business strategies and privacy requirements (GDPR, DPA).
- Facilitate the development and implementation of security controls required to secure the organisations external ICT environment.
- Manage security incident investigation, perform root cause analysis and lessons learned, and provide reports to Senior Management as required.
- Responsible for providing significant technical expertise and experience, standards development, program development, security assessment, risk assessment, reporting, awareness education, and highly visible leadership related to security of computing andinformation technology
- Perform information security risk assessments and serves as an internal auditor for security issues
- Takes the department lead in facilitating the internal and external audit activities.
- Monitors the internal control systems to ensure that appropriate access levels are maintained
- Experience of line management
Skills required should include:
- Specialist certification in IT Security e.g. CISSP or equivalent certification or equivalent experience
- Experience of working in finding, mitigating and reporting on vulnerabilities and threats.
- Experience in providing technical solutions to new and emerging security threats
- Experience on leading on penetration testing exercises or audit of IT security systems
- Team leadership
This is a full time role working 37.5 hours a week (initial duration is for 3 months but with the view of extension), this is also a remote working role.
