Description

Little Explorers Day Nursery is looking for an enthusiastic apprentice who keen to start out on a career in childcare.

Our nursery is set in a purpose built barn conversion surrounded by open countryside in Pakenham (5 miles from Bury St Edmunds,
Suffolk).

As an apprentice Nursery Assistant you will be working as part of the team, with children from 3 months to 5 years old.

You will gain
experience in all aspects of nursery Care under the supervision and guidance of the Nursery Manager and Room Leaders.
All staff are expected to be flexible and help where needed. This will mean undertaking some domestic duties such as cleaning and food
preparation as part of providing quality child care.

Entry requirements

Maths and English grade C or equivalent are required.

Training to be provided

Working towards the Early Years Educator Level 3 Apprenticeship Standard.

online group training sessions will be organised in addition to regular 1:1 tutor meetings.

Functional skills will be studied in Maths and English if exemptions are not held.

Things to consider

We spend time outside daily. The job will involve all aspects of childcare and some domestic duties.
