Description

Registered Manager and Deputy Manager Children's Home Borough of Greenwich South East London Competitive salary.
We require a Registered Manager and a Deputy Manager for our 4 bed home. Caring and supporting up to 4 young people. Our home is located in Woolwich area in South East London.

The children we care for are aged 9-17 with Social, emotional, mental health, and behavioural difficulties.

We are looking for

An experienced deputy manager or senior care workers who are ready for their next challenge and looking to evolve.
The aim will be to progress the Deputy to a Registered Manager.
Full support and training will be given


Applicants should have experience of working with children who present behavioural challenges, possibly those with additional mental health and wellbeing needs.


Deputy Manager Requirements

  • Recent experience working either as a Children's Home Deputy Manager or as a Senior Children's Residential Support Worker in a Children's Home.
  • Level 3 Diploma for Residential Childcare (or equivalent qualification).
Level 5 Leadership and Management (preferred)

  • Full UK Driving Licence.
You will be required to be flexible in your hours supporting the children the staff and the Manager


Registered Manager Requirements
Managerial role within a Children's Residential setting: 2 years (required)

  • Level 5 Diploma in Leadership & Management (required)
  • Must have at least 2 years of experience working with young people in Residential Care and at least 1 years of experience as a Registered Manager or Deputy Manager in Children homes
  • Be able to demonstrate auditing, managing budgets and monitoring skills
  • Can evidence knowledge of Reg 44 and Reg 45 reporting.
  • Can demonstrate how to develop a staff team to ensure they have clear vision and goals.
  • Has a good working knowledge of Children's homes regulations and the Social care common inspection framework
  • Has strong values and beliefs
  • Has integrity and good character
  • Can evidence experience of working with multidisciplinary teams
