Description

Our client a global medical device manufacturer producing high quality patient monitoring and medical surgical consumables are looking for a Manufacturing Engineer to join the team in Devon.

The role would suit someone with engineering or maintenance experience.

The manufacturing engineer will take ownership of device manufacturing process lines to make sure they run optimally with regular maintenance needs carried out and any breakdowns prioritised accordingly to reduce time of lines.


Position:


  • Maintenance Engineering function with openness to conduct routine maintenance task of semiautomated machines
  • Identifying and managing risk and ensure that company interests are protected under health and safety system
  • Create maintenance procedures whilst planning, undertaking and controlling the preventative maintenance programs on required equipment and machines
  • The Maintenance Engineer will improve existing machinery plus design and qualify new equipment
  • Respond to breakdown with diagnostic faults repairing equipment
  • Maintain and improve statistical and quality documentation in connection with the area
  • Help Manage stocks of supplies and equipment and spare parts within associated buckets
  • Make sure the Maintenance program on the machines and equipment is carried out internally or by external contractors to OEM specifications and in the most economical manner and reported into the system
  • Dealing with suppliers and ordering parts required to keep the machines running

Skills:


  • Either degree level or equivalent practical knowledge (e.g. mechanical manufacturing, electrical or electronic engineering etc)
  • PC skills
  • Regulated industry exposure such as medical device, pharmaceutical, automotive or aerospace etc.
  • Understanding of Health and Safety legislation
  • Understanding of Automation assembly equipment
  • Project management mindset and problem solving skills
