Description

We are recruiting for a 1-to-1 Support Assistant to help a KS1 pupil as he adjusts to life with a new prosthetic limb. This is a temporary position, initially from October February 2024, and would suit a school or college leaver looking for some rewarding work experience.

Duties will include:

Supporting the student as he moves around the school;
Helping him to take his prosthetic limb on and off;
Acting as a 'buddy' for the student;
Supporting him at breaktimes.

The pupil will have a phased return to school and you will be there to support him with this transition. When not offering 1-to-1 support, you will assist with day-to-day activities at the school such as reading and break time supervision.
