Specialist Support Worker -Enhanced Support


Our client is looking for Support Workers to provide health and social care support to Deaf individuals in Leeds this is a brand-new service that will offer supported living services to 4 clients with complex needs who may present behaviour that can challengethem, some clients may be moving directly from inpatient hospitals.

Specialist Support Worker - Enhanced Support


Location:
Leeds


Salary:
£13.00 per hour


Hours: 40 Hours per week (to support the needs of the service will need to work a variety of shifts which will include evenings, weekends, and awake night work)


Additional Benefits: 25 days holiday per annum, pro rata, pension, and sick pay


Closing date:23rd February 2023


About the Role:


In this role you will gain recognised qualifications, all staff must, in their period of probation, complete the Care Certificate.


About You:

To be successful in the role of Specialist Support Worker you will need to bring with you the following skills and experience:

  • Do you have experience working with people with Learning Disabilities/Mental Health
  • Do you have experience working in supported living services/residential care services?
  • Do you have experience in the Prevention Management of Violence and Aggression (PMVA) or are you willing to undertake this training?
  • Do you have experience of working with people with varying degrees of deafness, including those who are culturally deaf?
  • Can you communicate in British Sign Language? Or do you have a willingness to learn BSL?
