The College is an Outstanding Specialist College (Ofsted, November 2019) offering life-changing learning opportunities to young people and adults with a range of special education needs and/or disabilities.

We have eight vibrant community-based College Centres across London and Surrey where committed, specialist teams deliver a range of programmes to meet the needs of over 400 students.


Students who study with us have a wide range of needs including profound and multiple learning disabilities, communication and behavioural difficulties and specific medical needs.

All students are individuals, and their learning programmes are designed to support and empower them to achieve their aspirations and goals, whilst developing skills to become more independent members of their communit

You should hold a teaching qualification or equivalent

We require a full-time, experienced ASD lecturer to deliver a curriculum based on the four Preparing for Adulthood pathways

  • Good Health, Independent Living, Employment and Friends, Relationships and the Community. A large part of learning takes place in a variety of community based settings. The lecturer will be deliver teaching and learning both in the college and community settings. Learners are working at preentry level, aged 1625, knowledge of PSB and experience of behaviours of concern are essential. They will be expected to complete schemes of work, session plan, monitor progress against targets, write annual review reports attend team meetings and any other duties appropriate to the role

Responsibilities:


  • Effective planning of teaching/learning within work and employment curriculum areas.
  • Implementing appropriate assessment, objective setting, recording, reporting and evaluation of educational work programmes.
  • Ensuring that student learning experiences meet the needs of individuals and groups, promoting progression, continuity and quality of learning.
  • Use a variety of suitable teaching and learning styles and to communicate clear learning objectives and expectations.
  • Use relevant classroom management strategies to ensure that a purposeful environment for teaching and learning can take place. 6. Organise and maintain a stimulating work environment appropriate for the range of activities taking place

£32,000.00-£42,000.00 per year
