Job Summary:
Stubbington Medical Practice has an exciting opportunity for someone to join our practice. We are looking for a clinical coding assistant/administrator for 20 hours per week, across Monday to Friday. This role offers flexible working with the option to work from home in line with business needs.


To be considered for this position you must have outstanding IT and administrative skills, the ability to analyse and interpret clinical documents letters, discharge summaries, etc., work autonomously and maintain confidentiality.


Previous experience of clinical coding and/or administration in a healthcare or GP practice setting is preferred but not essential as full training will be given.


Main duties of the job

  • Inputting data into patients' healthcare records as necessary.
  • Accurately clinically coding data into the patient records.
  • Inputting and extracting data as required to support practice reports.
  • Filing and storing records as required.
  • Scanning patientrelated documentation and attaching scanned documents to patients' healthcare records.
  • Summarising new patients' medical records.
  • Processing new patient registrations.
  • Supporting all clinical staff with general administrative tasks as requested.
  • There may be, on occasion, a requirement to carry out other tasks. This will be dependent upon factors such as workload and staffing levels.

Responsibilities:


Clinical Coding Assistant/Administrator:


To be responsible for coding of relevant information into patients' electronic healthcare records on EMIS clinical system, adhering to the Correspondence Management Policy.

Provide administrative support to the senior management team (operations & practice managers).

Part-time


Pay:
£11.81 per hour

Expected hours: 20 per week
