Description

To support the catering department in preparing meals for patient's and service users. To produce meals to a high standard. To take delivery of orders from members of staff and external customers. Directing suppliers to the appropriate place.

To use the correct equipment at all times. To work well as a team and to maintain excellent communication skills. To adhere to food hygiene regulations and use the correct equipment when required. There may be a requirement to move and lift heavy items.

The catering department may be a very hot working environment with the use of ovens, hot plates, cookers and grills.
