Job overview:


We are looking to recruit a reliable and enthusiastic individual for a Bank Driver/Porter position within the Facilities Department on the Wirral.

You must be able to use your own initiative and work as part of a team.

Have good communication skills as you will be required to work with other staff members as well as service users and the general public.

This is for Bank work i.e if and when required. You will need to be very flexible and able to cover for holidays and sickness.

It is essential that you have held a current clean driving licence for a minimum of 3 years.

You may be required to work in other locations within the Trust, and therefore your own transport is desirable.

CWP has adopted the Living Wage. Where the standard Agenda for Change hourly rate is below Living Wage, pay will be supplemented to this level.

Main duties of the job:

To be responsible for delivery of mail stores etc to Wards and Departments.

  • To provide a transport service for patients required to go to C.O.C.H. for treatment.
  • To undertake any work on an ad hoc basis e.g., furniture removal, confidential waste, newspaper
collection, car park duties.

  • To deliver a cash escort service to Patient Monies in absence of security personnel.
  • To be responsible for the collection of patient meals from the COCH and the delivery to the
wards. To return empty food boxes to COCH kitchen after meal delivery.

  • To be responsible for the delivery of hospitality to various meeting rooms.
  • To be responsible for the delivery of pharmaceutical products from Lloyds and the onward
delivery to ward.

  • To assist clinical / ward staff in the search for missing patients within the hospital grounds.
  • To be responsible for laying out rooms for meetings.
  • To be responsible for the delivery and changing of oxygen cylinders at ward level and ELT piped
oxygen
