The Royal Society of Edinburgh (RSE) is Scotland's National Academy, working to inspire, engage, provide expertise and promote Scotland across the globe.


We are seeking an enthusiastic and compelling communicator with exceptional interpersonal and networking skills to champion the RSE as our new Head of Income Generation.


In this role, you will be responsible for developing, planning and managing our funding streams and income generation in support of the RSE's Strategic Plan You will identify opportunities with our existing partners, identify new collaborations and work with our Fellows to expand and further build partnerships.

We are looking for someone who has relevant fundraising, partnership development and income generation experience.

You will have worked and built strong relationships with influencers and partners and will be able to navigate this network intelligently whilst adding to it.

An ability to speak to, and connect with, a broad spectrum of people is essential; you will make presentations and speak publicly both internally and externally and will have the ability to influence others.


It is key that your activity and energy are focused on what is pragmatic as well as using your creativity to identify innovative projects and opportunities.

This role will suit someone who is creative, resourceful, highly organised and committed with a high level of emotional intelligence.
