Overall Purpose:

To provide generalist HR support to the business, covering two or more functional areas.


Job Dimensions:


Tasks

  • Support the recruiting efforts to attract the best talent.
  • Responsible for all temporary labour onsite liaising with agencies to source and manage the need for temporary labour as well as managing the agency to agreed KPI's.
  • Responsible for recruitment of apprentices, interns and graduates. Liaising with mentors and managers to support development needs.
  • Responsible for the learning management system identifying training needs and promoting the use of internally.
  • Assist with employee relations including but not limited to disciplinary, grievance, performance improvement plans, probation periods, new employee orientations and exit interviewing.
  • Support managers in handling absence including long term absence management and referrals to medical practitioners and insurance providers to help lower absence levels and provide high levels of customer service.
  • Use systems such as MS Teams and SharePoint to develop effective HR resources for all colleagues and managers.
  • Recommend policies and procedures to enhance delivery of HR services.
  • Production of HR and Management reports.
  • Support the payroll process ensuring checks are complete. Trained in the delivery of payroll to support business continuity in the event of absence.
  • Work on salary administration, benefits projects, special group projects and other generalist duties as required.

Requirements:


  • Minimum 3 years in a role in a similar HR generalist capacity
  • CIPD Level 5 qualified or working towards
  • Proficient with the use of Excel, Word and Outlook
  • Bachelors Degree (desirable)
  • Proficient with the use of Teams, SharePoint and Visio (desirable)
  • Experience of payroll (desirable)
  • Experience of HR in a manufacturing environment (desirable)
