Master Schedular (Temporary)
Our client is a leading OEM Manufacturer based in the North East. They now seek to appoint a Master Schedular in their North East Manufacturing facility on a temporary basis. Reporting into the Supply Chain Manager, the Master Schedular will be responsible for planning of production and supporting functions. Create schedules, based upon customer requirements, available resources, product type and capability of the plant.


The Role

  • Create Master Production Schedule from sales plan, capacity plan, sales forecasts and order book.
  • Define routing's and timings with Engineering.
  • Challenge and understand forecasts with sales team.
  • Ensure material forecasts are accurate for Purchasing Team.
  • Drive plan (MPS) to shop floor control level to ensure WO's are completed within plan.
  • Monitor production performance against target.
  • Manage change implementation, liaise and communicate with Engineering, Purchasing, Customer Service and External Sales.
  • Leadtime liaise with Purchasing and Customer Service to advise/review product availability.
  • Assist with the New Product Introduction process.
  • Management of a small team.
  • Attend daily production meetings and addressing any points arising.
  • Implement and manage systems for offsite production processes.
  • Prepare weekly/monthly production reports regarding targets and efficiencies.
  • Submit monthly KPIs.
  • Deputise for Supply Chain Manager as required.
  • Support Purchasing and Shipping teams as required.
  • Any other relevant duties that you may from time to time be requested to perform.

About You

  • At least 5 years' experience in an Engineering or Manufacturing environment.


  • ERP knowledge

  • Forecasting, MPS, MRP and shop floor control.
  • People management
  • Strong, numerical, analytical and problemsolving skills.
  • Thorough understanding of supply chain.
  • Strong character
  • Good communicator at all levels
  • Excellent IT skills (particularly Excel)
  • Motivated and Flexible
  • Purchasing / Supply Chain / Operations Qualified to degree or diploma level preferred.
