This is an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic Consultant to join our Otolaryngology department at University Hospitals Coventry and Warwickshire NHS Trust.
The successful applicant must be committed to working flexibly within the department and will be expected to participate in the management of a General ENT Practice.
Our ENT team are responsible for managing all ENT referrals to the service from Coventry, Rugby and North Warwickshire and undertake most operating on the University Hospital site with a small amount undertaken at Rugby.
You will:
- Take ongoing responsibility for patients under your care.
- Provide a consultation service and advisory service to other clinical colleagues in other specialties within the Trust and Primary Care.
- Participate in the development of the ENT service, treatment protocols and guidelines and the greater knowledge in the management of ENT conditions.
- Develop and maintain collaborative relationships with medical colleagues in other specialties and participate in regular clinical meetings and other postgraduate activities.
- Take responsibility for the professional supervision and development of trainee doctors within the specialty.
- Provide, and develop further with clinical colleagues ENT services for the Trust in collaboration with colleagues in all disciplines including primary and tertiary care, where appropriate, to provide an integrated service for patients.
