Position:
Unqualified Teaching Assistant (Supply)


Location:
Northumberland


Hours:
Monday to Friday, 8:30 am - 3:30 pm

Duration:
Temporary, with potential for a permanent role


AK Teaching is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic individual to join our team as an Unqualified Teaching Assistant on a supply basis.

This position offers a unique opportunity to work with a small group of learners with special educational needs in a supportive classroom environment, alongside experienced teachers and teaching assistants.


Role Responsibilities:


  • Support a small group of learners with special educational needs under the guidance of the class teacher and other teaching assistants.
  • Assist in implementing individual education plans and providing tailored support to meet the diverse needs of the learners.
  • Engage actively with learners, fostering a positive and inclusive learning environment.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to create engaging and stimulating learning activities.
  • Maintain a safe and supportive learning environment, ensuring the wellbeing of all learners.

Requirements:


  • No formal qualifications required; however, relevant experience working with young people or adults with learning difficulties is highly desirable.
  • Proactive attitude with a willingness to engage with learners and support their individual needs.
  • Commitment to the role and availability to work Monday to Friday during school hours.
  • DBS check on the update service or willingness to undergo a DBS check.
  • Ability to adapt to challenging situations and a passion for making a positive difference in the lives of learners with special educational needs.
