Unqualified Teaching Assistant (Supply)

Location:
Northumberland

Hours:
Monday to Friday, 8:30 am - 3:30 pm

Duration:
Temporary, with potential for a permanent role

AK Teaching is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic individual to join our team as an Unqualified Teaching Assistant on a supply basis.

This position offers a unique opportunity to work with a small group of learners with special educational needs in a supportive classroom environment, alongside experienced teachers and teaching assistants.

Role Responsibilities:

Support a small group of learners with special educational needs under the guidance of the class teacher and other teaching assistants.
Assist in implementing individual education plans and providing tailored support to meet the diverse needs of the learners.
Engage actively with learners, fostering a positive and inclusive learning environment.
Collaborate with colleagues to create engaging and stimulating learning activities.
Maintain a safe and supportive learning environment, ensuring the wellbeing of all learners.

Requirements:

No formal qualifications required; however, relevant experience working with young people or adults with learning difficulties is highly desirable.
Proactive attitude with a willingness to engage with learners and support their individual needs.
Commitment to the role and availability to work Monday to Friday during school hours.
DBS check on the update service or willingness to undergo a DBS check.
Ability to adapt to challenging situations and a passion for making a positive difference in the lives of learners with special educational needs.
