We are currently recruiting for a Fabricator / Welder, working within our fabrication facilities. Ideally from an apprentice trained or time served background.

Creative Steelwork Ltd is a family run business specializing in the fabrication of secondary steelwork, staircases, handrailing/balustrade, mezzanine floors and much more.

Overtime may be required during busy periods

Hourly pay is negotiable and is based on experience and capabilities.


Desirable skills:


Job will be mainly for fabrication but with the ability to be able to help within welding if required

• Experience in working with mild steel/steel industry
• Ability to work under company Weld Procedure Specifications (WPS)
• Reasonable understanding of weld defects under visual inspection
• A good work ethic and attitude
• Experience operating various fabrication machinery
• Ability to read, understand and interpret detailed fabrication drawings

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Welding materials such as mild steel (if & when required to do so)
• Welding to various thicknesses
• Maintain the tidiness, safety, and cleanliness of the work area
• MIG welding, fabrication, and development on bespoke steel fabrications
• Using varying workshop tools, plant, and machinery
• Working from engineering drawings & specifications
• Welding to a high quality
• Measuring and marking out plate and sections for cutting, and drilling.
• Adherence to all Health & Safety policies and procedures

• Ensure production timings are met.
• Follow all company policies & procedures
• Work as part of a team to produce orders on time and within customer expectation/quality requirements

Working HoursJob type
Monday to Thursday 7:45am - 4:15pm Permanent - Full time

Friday 7:45pm - 2:45pm Overtime opportunities
