Mechanical Draughtsperson

Full Time, Permanent, Newark

We are proud to be partnered with a long-standing Newark based client who are seeking a
Mechanical Draughtsperson to join their team.

As a
Mechanical Draughtsperson you will be an integral part of the Engineering Team liaising with all departments.


THE ROLE

As a
Mechanical Draughtsperson your role will include:

  • Compile drawings for client specifications
  • Resolve potential issues or problems on the shop floor
  • Liaise with the design team to resolve production or development issues
  • Working with the sales team to produce drawings for estimating
  • Ensure standard operating procedures are followed at all times
  • Resolve any customer issues or problems acting as customer liaison
  • Managing and updating relevant databases
  • Attend site meetings and training course when required

THE CANDIDATE

An ideal
Draughtsperson will possess the following attributes:

  • Level 3 NVQ, BTEC or higher in Mechanical Engineer
  • Competent in Autodesk AutoCAD 2D + Autodesk Inventor and knowledge of coding using Ilogic
  • Strong ability to plan, organise and prioritise work
  • Proficient in MS Office and Excel
  • Ability to work under minimum supervision and to deadline
  • Confident with liaising with clients, engineers, and staff
  • Clean driving licence
