SPECIALIST TRAINING AND RESPONSIBILITIES MAY INCLUDE THE FOLLOWING:


  • Assist in the creation of beautiful, usable and accessible digital products
  • Delivering outputs and activities such as; UX benchmarking, generative wireframing, information architecture, interaction design, composing compelling visual storyboards, developing mid to high fidelity UX prototypes and conducting user testing
  • Manage work plans for own responsibilities and contribute to the digital strategy
  • Opportunity to contribute to and maintain design systems
  • Develop an understanding of products used in orthopedics.
  • Work alongside other Product Development functions including Design, Bioengineering, Quality, Manufacturing, Testing and Research.
  • Research and develop test protocols for digital usability and accessibility
  • Contribute to machine/equipment validations
  • Assist in providing design support for products in development, and existing product lines to markets and other functions
  • Develop knowledge of WCAG 2.1 AA, HE75 and other design standards
  • Work closely with surgeons to gain an indepth understanding of the joint replacement procedures
  • Concept work and brainstorming ideas
  • Work with vendors regarding designs and manufacturing processes
  • Work within a regulated industry in accordance with compliance standards
  • May handle several projects concurrently depending on the magnitude of each

Qualifications:


  • 2 years of degree level study completed
  • A minimum of 2
:
1, or equivalent, achieved in first year of study

  • Digital design degrees preferred, but not limited to digital design, graphic design, human centered design, product design, interaction design; some IT related degrees may also be considered.
