Description

Blatchford is a multi-award winning manufacturer of some of the world's most advanced prosthetic technology, bespoke seating solutions and orthotic devices.

Our evidence-based approach and commitment to continuously challenge possibilities ensures our mobility solutions prioritise the wellbeing and long-term health of our users.

Through science, technology, and maintaining a clear focus on people, we make mobility possible.

We now have a great opportunity for an Orthotist to join our experienced team at Luton and Dunstable Hospital.

Ideally, you'll be an experienced Orthotist looking for a new challenge, or a Graduate looking to join an experienced team who will support your development.

The orthotic team works with inpatients and outpatients in designated adult and paediatric clinics, treating an extensive range of conditions including stroke, neuromuscular conditions, diabetic foot, lower limb musculoskeletal complaints and common foot pathologies.

The varied nature of the role provides a clinically challenging environment and is a great opportunity to develop your skills and career in a highly rewarding role.

Working as part of a multi-disciplinary team, you will have a patient centred approach to service delivery. Leading on clinical care pathways, you'll deliver high quality care and outcomes to a complex patient load. You will need to work closely with Trust consultants and NHS managers to deliver effective, quality driven orthotic services.

The role includes:

  • Providing excellent orthotic care within general orthotic clinics
  • Maintaining a good working relationship with the MDT team
  • Promoting the use of CAD scanning for measuring and Orthotic design
  • Supporting and contributing to Blatchford services by contributing to our national care pathways, protocols and leadership on orthotics
  • Opportunity to work closely with manufacturing team in Sheffield

Ideally, you'll have a minimum of 2years' post-graduate experience; more importantly, you'll be a forward-thinking clinician with a passion for delivering exceptional patient care, managing quality services and proactive in service development.

You must be degree qualified in Orthotics/Prosthetics (or equivalent) and be HCPC registered. BAPO or ISPO membership is desirable, though not essential.

We can offer:

  • Highly competitive salary
  • 25 days' holiday, increasing with service
  • Salary sacrifice pension scheme
  • Ondemand pay
  • Discounted shopping/leisure activities
  • Discounted gym membership
  • Cycle to Work scheme
If this sounds like the type of environment you would love to be a part of and you are an ambitious clinician who is looking for a new challenge with an industry leading employer, we want to hear from you
