This position is funded by the EU Commission Recovery and Resilience Facility under the Science Foundation Ireland Future Digital Challenge and is available from 15th March 2024 to 30th June 2024 with the possibility of an extension.

The Research Assistant will be working with Dr Bharat B Tripathi (University of Galway)

We are seeking a passionate detail-oriented professional to lead the stakeholder and public engagement activities of the project while fostering a collaborative and inclusive work environment.

As a Research Assistant, you will be responsible for contacting and collaborating with various stakeholders, organising research outreach activities while supporting day-to-day operations, managing resources, overseeing administrative tasks and maintenance needs arising.


Duties and Responsibilities
Identify, prioritize and engage with stakeholders in the industry and wider community.

Collaborate with institutions and hospitals for research collaboration/awareness and outreach as appropriate.

Engage in the wider research and scholarly activities of the research group.

Define and maintain the data and records for the research program.

Participate in vendor management process.

Secure placements for the research program.

Student engagement on any potential opportunities and internship vacancies.

Carry out any administrative work associated within the research program.

Engage in professional development opportunities to develop transferable skills, career, and reputation.

Strategic support on schedule planning for effective project management, decision making process.

Any other duties assigned commensurate to this level of post


Qualifications:


Essential Criteria
Proven track record in achieving targets and KPIs in a competitive environment.

Demonstrate excellent communication and organizational skills and attention to detail.

Proven independent initiative and ability to work in a collaborative environment.

Evidence of effective networking, influencing skills and relationship building with employers, students and academics.

Strong interpersonal skills.


Desirable Criteria:

Experience working in startups, building foundation for teams & projects

Knowledge on tools and techniques on talent acquisition.

Excellent knowledge on MS- Office and sourcing techniques.
