This is an exciting opportunity to be part of the London Homelessness Prevention Team (HPT).

This role will support roll out of the Community Accommodation Service - Tier 3 (CAS3) in London which is a crucial part of the government's plan to cut crime, reduce reoffending and help people leaving prison to make a success of their lives.

The CAS3 service provides transitional private rented sector accommodation for up to 12 weeks for individuals supervised by probation who are leaving prison, Approved Premises or Bail Accommodation and Support Services (BASS) and who are at risk of homelessness.

As a project officer within the HPT you will:

  • Oversee the day-to-day inputting of MI data including maintaining HPT and CAS3 records and documentation.
  • Work in collaboration with a variety of partners (Performance & Quality, Probation Practitioners, Probation Delivery Units, Accommodation Providers) to source data and present summarised insights back to HPT management.
  • Communicate with the Central HPT team surrounding data capturing and returns.
  • Assist in processing and reviewing referrals from probation practitioners into the HPT.
  • Work alongside CAS3 providers and the HPT management to monitor data surrounding property procurement within London.
  • Liaise with providers to request any additional information which may be required to be able to successfully manage the content within the CAS3 digital database.
  • Work flexibly alongside HPT colleagues to support the overall achievement of operational objectives.

Desirable Experience

Overview of the job


The system change team will be part of the central DDC team but with a matrix line into the Divisional DD.

They will deliver against an agreed national change programme. An initial priority will be ensuring integration between PS and CRC. In Wales these will include integration with Probation / Prisons and therefore solid line into HMPPS Wales.


Summary


The Project Officer role is responsible for assisting the System Change team in helping Deputy Directors to improve the planning and delivery of change programmes, with particular emphasis on continuous improvement and the increased effectiveness of operational processes between the PS and CRCs.


Responsibilities, Activities and Duties
The job holder will be required to carry out the following responsibilities, activities and duties:

Implementation of change management projects

  • Assist in the development of Divisional change plans
  • Assist in the coordination of delivery of Divisional change projects
  • Assist and support the analysis and planning of HQ change initiatives through the provision of key Divisional insight
  • Provide information and support in the review of Divisional change programmes
  • Assist in providing Divisional information to the HQ team
  • Obtain feedback from key project stakeholders regarding critical project milestones to update the system integration team with project
  • Support the system integration team with the development of detailed project plans, project schedules, project estimates, resource plans, and status reports
  • Track key project milestones and adjust project plans and/or resources to meet needs of Divisional and HQ stakeholders
  • Communicate major milestones and identify potential project risks; conduct regular status meetings to review project activities
  • Utilise project management processes and methodologies to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, adhere to highquality standards, and meet customer expectations
  • Translate project requirements into project objectives and tasks
  • Responsible for managing P&L and reporting progress of the project on an ongoing basis
