The initial focus for the post holder will be to focus on the continued operational delivery of the national framework for managing patient safety incidents following nosocomial (hospital acquired) Covid-19.

This is a high-profile national programme with all NHS provider organisations in Wales requiring support and oversight in their delivery of the work.

The post holder will be the operational lead for this work, which will include engagement with all Health Boards and Trusts across Wales as well as key stakeholders such as Welsh Government, Public Health Wales and Welsh Risk Pool.

The role will involve a variety of tasks such as running national workshops to facilitate agreed outcomes and positions; provision of advice and support to NHS provider organisations in delivering the Framework; and collation and analysis of relevant data to inform decisions.
