About the Principal / Associate Director Ecologist opportunity:

We are looking to appoint a bright, dynamic, and passionate Principal / Associate Director Ecologist to join our talented, growing team.


Based from the Stockton location of our 18 UK-wide hubs, you will manage and lead multi-disciplinary projects; working closely with and delivering for a number of our long-term and highly valued clients.


This integral position is perfect for an learned Ecologist currently working at Principal level, who is now ready to advance their career and move into an Associate Director role with an award-winning environmental consultancy.

About the Principal / Associate Director Ecologist:
Along with your experience in winning and delivering complex projects, working effectively with clients, using your impressive array of technical and people skills - and your experience across several ecological disciplines - to inspire others, we are looking for:

  • A high level of proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office packages
  • The ability to multitask and work proactively and in support of changing workloads
  • Protected Species Licences e.g. NE Class 2 bat licence or NRW dormice
  • Experience of delivering EcIA and HRA and obtaining EPS mitigation licences
  • Excellent report writing skills with strong attention to detail and the ability to handle confidential information
  • Strong prioritisation and organisation skills
  • Excellent interpersonal, oral and written communication skills
