The Independent Press Standards Organisation (IPSO) is the regulator of most newspapers and magazines in the UK. We are recruiting a Communications Officer to join our committed, friendly and dynamic External Affairs team.

IPSO holds the press to account, sets high standards, and protects the public.

Reporting to the Head of Communications, this exciting role will support our work to engage effectively with our key audiences.


It is an exciting opportunity for a talented communicator looking to develop existing skills and gain further experience across the communications mix in an organisation which deals with challenging and high-profile issues.


You will play a key part in embedding our brand which is currently being refreshed, and in rolling out a new website - so experience of using a CMS is highly desirable.

Good digital skills are a must. You will be responsible for day-to-day management of IPSO's newsletters and social media channels.

You will provide press office support, help organise events, and work across a range of communications projects such as reports and research.


You will need to be able to take initiative, manage multiple pieces of work and be able to present complex information in clear and creative ways.

You are personable, articulate and organised.

Salary:
£31,000.00-£34,000.00 per year
