The Opportunity

We are seeking an ambitious Graduate Town Planner looking to kick-start your Town Planning career at a company that will support your career progression.

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Graduate Town Planner within Wardell Armstrong Town Planning team in Cardiff.

You will join a tight-knit team within the Planning and Environment Team at a company dealing with an impressive range of projects including major infrastructure, energy, waste, minerals and other commercial developments.

As a Graduate Town Planner your duties will include:

Supporting senior colleagues to progress projects from inception to completion
Appraisal of new development opportunities
Undertaking site visits
Engaging with a wide range of professionals within both public and private sectors
Research of planning policy and procedure and building a working knowledge of relevant planning acts and regulation
Advising team colleagues on planning procedural changes and implications

You:

Hold a good Town Planning degree or related
Have excellent analytical and written skills
Have a strong team working ethic
IT literate in Microsoft Office, Excel, and ideally some GIS experience
Strong time management and organisation skills
As we work throughout the UK, a full driving licence is essential
