Description
A great opportunity has arisen for a Junior Doctor Rota Coordinator to become part of the Orthopaedic team.

Reporting to the Service Manager for Trauma and Orthopaedics, the person in this role is responsible for coordinating all aspects of the Junior Doctor's rotas, making adjustments on a daily basis as required.

The post holder will be required to cover gaps on the rota through use of internal staff, or through booking bank or agency cover as required.

The post holder will keep records of all study leave, annual leave and sickness and overseeing Junior Doctor compliance to mandatory training and direct support across all of these areas as required.

The role will also have responsibilities as required in supporting the Trust's strategy to reduce bank and agency medical spend and support with the local induction and recruitment of new Junior Doctors.

In return you will be part of a friendly and supportive team.

We are looking for a highly motivated and organised person who is friendly and approachable, can build effective working relationships and communicate clearly.

The main duties of the role are to identify, arrange and manage Locum Doctor cover in order to comply with the European Working Time Directives.

This will require regular contact with all the Junior Doctors over shift short falls and availability to cover.

The role will require attention for detail and accurate reporting to ensure there are accurate records of annual leave, study leave and sickness.
