We are looking for an experienced senior risk management leader to join our business as an Associate Director.

As an Associate Director you will play a key role in leading our regional risk management and wider project controls capability both internally and within our client commissions.

You will initially work with one of our leading infrastructure clients based in the Southwest and South Wales and work closely with our regional Risk Management lead to continue to grow and develop our Risk Management network across infrastructure, defence and natural resources.


Key Responsibilities

  • Leading our Risk Management services delivery on client commissions and ensuring delivery excellence and team performance.
  • Building strong professional relationships with our clients and facilitating growth of our services.
  • Analysing our client's current Risk Management maturity and defining a tailored approach for managing, escalating and reporting risks an organisation level.
  • Defining approaches for the integration of Enterprise, Portfolio, Programme and Project risk information and analysis.
  • Guiding our client's organisations through transformational change to embed lasting improvements to their risk management and project controls approach.
  • Leading teams of risk professionals to deliver effective, consistent, assured and value adding risk management services to our clients across diverse and complex programmes and organisations.
  • Supporting bid activities as needed to help us grow our client base and service offering.
  • Training and coaching clients and less experienced team members on risk management processes and practices.
  • Drive T&T's recruitment activities to help us to continue to grow and develop our project controls team.
  • Undertaking line management activities including career development and performance management.
  • Be a key leader in our national and regional risk management community including Communities of Practice.

Qualifications

  • Experience in managing senior stakeholders and resolving conflicts is essential.
  • An understanding of how Risk Management interfaces with other Project Controls disciplines (scheduling, cost control, change control and reporting) is essential.
  • Practical experience of implementing Quantitative Schedule and Cost Risk Analysis (QSRA/QCRA), the benefits this brings and when it is appropriate to be applied is essential.
  • Familiarity with at least one risk tool (ARM, Predict Risk Controller, Risk Hive, Xactium) is essential.
  • An awareness of Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) and its relationship to Portfolio, Programme and Project risk management is desirable.
  • Experience of leading a risk management team with the ability to mobilise, inspire and lead by example and drive performance is desirable.
  • Experience in implementing major programme or organisation wide transformational change is desirable.
  • Experience of operating in a consulting environment including client delivery and business growth is desirable.
  • A risk management qualification (Management of Risk (MoR) or International Certificate in Risk Management etc.) is desirable.
  • The ability to travel to client sites across the region as required is essential.
