Our client, an established civil engineering contractor, is looking to add a Site Engineer to their team based in Aberdeen.

They pride themselves in ensuring that all work is delivered to the highest possible standard whilst putting the health and safetyof their workforce at the core of everything they do.

In 2020 they won "The Excellence in Health and Safety" award at the Trade Awards 2020.


To excel in this role, you will have previous experience as a Site Engineer on civils and groundworks projects - with a primary focus on sewers, road, drainage, concrete and hard landscaping multi-disciplinary projects and/or maintenance frameworks.


As a Site Engineer, you will be responsible for:

  • Setting out and surveying the site.
  • Implementing strategies as discussed with management.
  • Checking plans, drawings and quantities for accuracy of calculations.
  • Overseeing quality control and health and safety matters on site.
  • Obtain permits and warrants.
  • Ensure that the company quality procedures are maintained at all times.
  • Seek to complete project on time and within budget.
  • Mentoring and supporting more junior staff on site.
  • Supporting the team, and any other site engineering duties as required.

Background/experience required:


  • Previous experience working as a Site Engineer with a civil engineering contractor.
  • Previous experience settingout for groundworks and infrastructure projects
  • Appropriate civil engineering qualification i.e HND/C or Degree.
  • CAD or ground modelling knowledge is desirable but not essential.
  • You should have a valid CSCS card.
