Farlingaye High School has a large number of students, approximately 1,900 who value their lunch break and the ability, in good weather, to take advantage of our extensive grounds.

During the winter months, our students have access to nominated classrooms.

Whether we are operating outside or inside lunchtime arrangements, the students are supervised during this period by our team of midday supervisors.

We are looking for additional members of staff to join our friendly, hardworking team of midday supervisors.

Previous experience of working with young people in a similar role would be advantageous although not essential as training will be given.

You will need to be able to communicate appropriately with students, ensuring that interactions are within the boundaries of a teacher - student framework.

There may be a need to interpret information or situations and to solve straightforward problems.

You will spend the lunchtime period walking around your designated areas ensuring that you are vigilant to any changes in student behaviours, have an awareness of vulnerable students and helping to ensure the safety and welfare of our students during the lunch break period.

For each full lunch period worked, you will be paid for one hour and 15 minutes
