Look no further Our client, a local authority based in South East London is actively searching for a talented and dynamic Senior Surveyor to join their team on an interim basis.

As an Interim Senior Surveyor, you will play a pivotal role in providing a comprehensive range of valuation, estate management, and professional services.

Your expertise and insights will contribute to the effective management of the diverse property portfolio, ensuring the best outcomes for both the council and the local community.


Key Responsibilities:


  • Providing professional property advice as requested to help facilitate decision making and to interpret legal documents and legislation as required.
  • Managing Councilowned property, preparing reports on relevant issues (such as condition, usage, compliance with covenants etc.) and undertaking appropriate remedial action in the best interests of the Council.
  • Undertaking day to day estate management of the Council's varied property estate including, lease management, rent reviews and lease renewals, compliance checks etc.
  • Using and maintaining up to date property information on the Council's database and management system Technology Forge. (Civica).
  • Undertaking comprehensive property reviews to identify opportunities for service.

Requirements:


  • Experience in property valuation, estate management, or related fields, ideally within the public sector.
  • Excellent analytical skills, with the ability to interpret complex data and make informed decisions.
  • Exceptional communication and negotiation skills, enabling effective collaboration with diverse stakeholders.
  • Relevant professional qualifications such as RICS membership would be advantageous.
