WOODWORKING OPERATIVE - 1pm finish every Friday

Starting salary:
£22,700 rising to £23,220 after 6 months

Our client is a well
- established, successful and thriving business who is expanding further. There is total job security at this company as they have been established for over 50 years. The Woodworking Operative will be based on the shop floor in a friendly and supportive team. The working environment is friendly and the work is interesting. The role is permanent so we are looking for a hardworking individual who will be happy to commit long term. Also, lots of career progression is offered here. The Woodworking Operative is a great role to start in and develop and learn all areas of the business An interest in woodwork or carpentry would be a bonus, but not a necessity.


The duties:

  • Producing timber packing cases and boxing various components
  • Responsible for completion of packing sheets when required
  • Liaison with different production departments
  • Responsible for completing relevant paperwork
  • Ensure that the work area is maintained to high standards and the area is kept tidy
  • Working to schedules and deadlines
  • Ensure that PPE (protective equipment) is worn such as footwear, eye protection, etc.
  • Responsible for any other ad hoc duties as required
The ideal woodworking operative will be bright and enthusiastic and keen to work in a successful and professional business. No experience is required for the Woodworking Operative, just a positive outlook. You will be part of a busy and enjoyable team and lots of opportunities within the business to progress.
