HOURS OF WORK:


SPECIAL CONDITIONS:

20 hours per week as agreed and in accordance with Councils scheme of flexible working hours. The post holder may be required to work outside normal office hours from time to time.

This is a fixed term contract for a period of up to 18 months.


OVERALL OBJECTIVE:


To plan, manage and implement key community engagement activity and partnership communications (including social media) and consultations, on behalf of the Community Safety Partnership (CSP).

To deliver the multiagency Summer Passport, youth diversionary activity scheme. To develop, deliver and manage projects, including funding bids, risk assessments, delivery and evaluation in a multiagency environment.


PRINCIPAL ACTIVITIES:


KEY TASKS

Community Engagement


To have responsibility to plan, manage and implement engagement and consultation activity and events on behalf of the CSP and GBC.


Summer Passport Scheme
Research, seek best practice and develop new community engagement methods and support implementation with key partners.


Website and social media communications


To be responsible for the development of the Community Safety Partnership's website and approach towards social media to facilitate self-service, improve communications and effective use of resources, whilst reflecting stakeholder need.


Community Safety Partnership Communications


Plan and develop the Community Safety Partnership's communications, co-ordinating with key stakeholders including GBC, County Council and bodies such as OPCC & Home Office to ensure regular and effective communication with residents and the development of positive relationships.

To prepare reports for the Community Safety Partnership and attend partnership meetings as necessary.


Project Development, Management and Evaluation
To oversee development and management of projects on behalf of the CSP and GBC in a multi-agency environment.

Ensure community engagement processes are used appropriately to identify and develop projects.

To seek funding sources and write funding bids and project proposals.

To develop, implement and evaluate projects in a multi-agency environment.


To act in accordance with, and ensure that service delivery complies with, current regulations, accepted professional standards, the council's policies and procedures and appropriate legislation (including legislation on equalities, health and safety and safeguarding children/vulnerable adults).

Educated to A Level equivalent or above to ensure excellent literacy and numeracy skills in order to:

  • Plan, manage and implement key community engagement activity, communications and consultation
  • Provide management for the delivery of Summer Passport
  • Develop the CSP website and approach to social media
  • Plan and develop communications
  • Develop and manage projects
  • Carry out research
Application and test.

Educated to A Level equivalent or above to ensure excellent analytical skills in order to carry out:
