Post title:

SS.72897

Salary:
£27,852 - £31,099 per year

Directorate/department:
Social Services

Further information:

We want to employ somebody who will be passionate and dedicated to helping this group of young people settle into life in Swansea and the UK.

This will include offering practical support, support and advice around their asylum claim, goal setting and developing plans that help them achieve these goals as well as ensuring there are aware of their rights and entitlements.

This YPA will hold a caseload of young people who are supported by either Swansea or Neath Port Talbot leaving care teams.

The role will be base in Information with the Swansea leaving care team with a plan in place for work to be regional across both authorities.

This is a new post and an exciting time to join the teams as we try to deliver a supportive and seamless service to our UASC population.

The post is initially agreed for a 12 month period with a view to it being extended if possible.

In Swansea we understand the need to nurture and support staff.

From the excellent induction process when you join us and throughout your time with us we will support your work and career.

Signs of Safety is our practice framework and we have used the reclaiming Social Work model to form small pods led by Practice Leads.

This supports good supervision and collaboration between staff.
