About the Role:


As a Facilities Management Assistant, you will be required to provide support to the Site Facilities Manager in the delivery of day-today Facilities Management services.

Working as part of a team and on your own initiative, you will work to provide an excellent level of customer service for all SSE colleagues and visitors and assist in all aspects of delivering high quality FM services.


The key responsibilities of this role are:

- Service - Ensure that all aspects of service delivery are operating as required. Actively seek feedback on the services being delivered by the Team and take remedial action where non-performance is identified. Work across the wider Property and FM Team to identify continual improvement opportunities. Liaise with business stakeholders to continually improve service delivery and compliance.


- Budget Management:


  • Support the setting of revenue and capital budgets. Support the FM Manager in developing business cases for capital expenditure. Be able to demonstrate knowledge in budget variations and how to remedy.

- Safety - Support safety processes and policies across the FM department and be able to demonstrate where challenges around safety have been made. Ensure effective contractor management including the review of RAMS and setting contractors to work.


- Administration - Deliver administration duties such as audits, review of maintenance worksheets, identifying where remedial work is required on the back of PPM (Planned Preventative Maintenance) activity. Provide cover across all FM tasks that range from reception, post room, Help Desk.


What do I need?
To be considered for this role, we'd love you to have:

  • Qualification related to the FM profession such as IWFM Level 3, NEBOSH, IOSH or any other accreditations in line with the FM discipline. Please note this is desirable, not essential.
  • Experience in the use of CAFM (Computer Aided Facilities Management) systems whilst working in conjunction with a Help Desk function.
  • Experience in dealing with multiple stakeholders, across a number of business functions to support the delivery of their departmental goals.
  • Previous experience within FM, either inhouse, TFM or client side.
  • Knowledge of both hard and soft FM services.
