1st and 2nd Line Software Support Engineer. Also called Application Support role.

The company are an established software house that develop a range of enterprise software solutions

They are looking for an Application / Software Support engineer with experience in Ms-SQL.

Job Role
- provide support over the phone or via remote desktop software, clients resolve issues
- follow instructions and guidance in Confluence to find a fault or set up a system
- prioritise and manage many open cases at one time
- rapidly establish a good working relationship with customers and other professionals, such as software developers

Skills:

- a good memory of how software and operating systems work
- excellent listening and questioning skills, combined with the ability to interact confidently with clients to establish what the problem is and explain the solution
- the ability to work well in a team
- strong problem-solving skills
- the ability to prioritise your workload

Ideally have experience in support or a familiarity with software and working in a technical environment.
Be familiar with a ticketing system for the receipt of issues and updating with internal notes of your actions and communications with the client
The role is mainly for a remote position, although there may be times when you would be required to travel to a clients site or attend team meetings
Ability to translate technical information to varying levels of enduser literacy.

Salary:
£25,000.00-£35,000.00 per year
