About the team
The Customer Due Diligence team are responsible for ensuring we know who we are doing business with to ensure we safeguard our business, our merchants and their end customers.
We do this by assessing new or existing merchants to verify and validate who they are; understand their business practices and ownership structure.
This not only protects FIS but the industry as a whole.
You'll be joining a team that is at the heart of what FIS deliver for our merchants that operate in over 150 countries across the globe.
What you will be doing
You will be managing a team that will be assessing new business opportunities and existing merchants against our own internal policies along with all legal and regulatory requirements to ensure we know who our customers are and that we are confident they are a merchant we want to provide services to.
We are here to support the business by helping deliver growth opportunities for new and existing merchants whilst protecting us against risks of things such as financial crime and regulatory breaches.
- Team is predominantly UK based with main function in Gateshead but also have team members in other areas of the UK, Singapore and India with scope for further expansion and you will have line management and leadership responsibilities across the team
- You will manage one or more elements of the team covering our larger customers, our small and medium sized customer
- You will engage with other internal stakeholders to prioritise and complete opportunities to ensure we achieve our overall business goals
- There will be opportunities for you and your team to support business initiatives and project as we grow and evolve to maintain our market leading position
What you bring:
- Management experience and leadership attributes
- Operational experience in a Financial Services organization and/or, speficically in a CDD/KYC type role
- Detailoriented with good organizational skills managing multiple tasks
- Ability to work autonomously along with being a good team member
- Someone who can understand the need to support wider business goals and can be flexible in their approach in order to achieve these
