Designing an agile delivery model for a large UK Government digital
transformation
programme:

  • One of the largest transformation programmes across UK Government, which aimed to transition to a digital-first service, was working in siloed ways and there was low confidence it could deliver on-time and to budget.
  • The Moorhouse Team worked collaboratively with the Programme Senior Leadership team to build business agility into a new delivery model and create an agile organisation design which underpins the new delivery model.
  • Our work delivered significant financial savings to MTD, generating c.£3.3m paybill savings per annum equating to a total of £16.5m throughout the remaining 5 years of delivery.

Managing the technical integration for the Command
and Control of large UK police force:

  • Command and Control (C&C) is a critical service at the heart of the police force, enabling delivery of operational policing activity. However, the C&C IT system lacked integration between technologies which created inefficiencies and wasn't providing a single operating picture to leaders.
  • Moorhouse has been playing a critical role in replacing the C&C IT infrastructure by managing the complex and critical workstream on integrating the new IT infrastructure to external systems. This has involved using a deep technical knowledge to work stakeholders across the police force and a complicated supplier ecosystem to ensure the benefits of the new C&C IT infrastructure are maximised.
  • Our expertise and support has enabled the introduction of the new IT system to remain on track and has provided the police force with a significant improved single operational picture enabling leaders to effectively manage demand, risk and resources.

As a
Consultant you will have:


  • 3 or more years' experience, whether this is from a big consulting firm, boutique consultancy or digital transformation delivery experience gained in the public sector.
  • Experience in the endtoend delivery of digital transformation, ideally with a focus on digitising public services using GDS standards and methods.
  • Strong interpersonal skills including building and nurturing strong relationships with clients and colleagues and experience working with senior stakeholders.
  • A learning mindset with desire to improve and grow both your own knowledge and capabilities as well as for your team.
  • A collaborative team player with ability to work as part of a small teams as well as independently.
