Working 36.5 hours per week

This is an exciting opportunity to work for City Housing.

For the role of a Neighbourhood Support Officer, we are seeking an enthusiastic person with good interpersonal skills and abilities that can meet our person specification to the job role.


The post holder will manage all aspects of housing including aspects of allocations, lettings, repairs, delivery of individual support and wellbeing to tenants.

You will conduct face to face visits, in citizens homes, to improve the health and wellbeing of tenants and applicants with an aim for older people and those with disabilities to achieve their goals, to be resilient and lead happy and healthy lives in a sheltered environment.

This could include reporting on conditions of tenancy, anti-social behaviour, debt advise, benefit advise, or activity organising and encouragement as a few examples.


Our aim is that people live independently, with support from multiple agencies as required and you will be responsible to refer and liaise with as necessary.


Building management and Health & Safety is also an integral part to the role that the officer will perform to ensure the safe environment for all.


You will be part of a supportive team that provides a service to 7 category 2, corridor linked sheltered housing schemes, the vacancies are on North & East of the City, but you are required to cover Citywide for colleagues as required.
