The Role
Responsibilities:
To assist with the operation and maintenance of all processes and equipment within the plant and ensure that the plant is operated and maintained effectively, safely, and efficiently, whilst providing production support within the team minimise downtime.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
Your duties and responsibilities will include but are not limited to the following:
- Day to day maintenance of all plant and machinery / Facility
- To install and maintain new and existing equipment, whilst ensuring production is not interrupted.
- Assist with carrying out hands on mechanical engineering routines, in accordance with the planned preventative maintenance systems (PPM), to minimise plant downtime, and ensure that the plant operates to the standards laid down in the appropriate legislation.
- Ensure that the working area is clean and tidy on completion of any job / task.
- Be responsible for the health and safety of yourself and others within the workplace and comply with all health and safety procedures.
- Assisting other mechanical / operational departments when required.

Levels of Competence "Skills" Required:
A good level of mechanical Skill, to carry out safely repairs to plant and equipment.
Mewp licence
Forklift Licence
Gas Safe Certificate
Powered Lift truck licence
Physical Requirements:
Must be able to stand and or walk for 9 hrs
Occasionally lift objects up to 25kg
Protective equipment required for this position is safety shoes, safety glasses, hearing protection, overalls, welding masks, fall arrest harness. As required
Job Types:
Full-time, Permanent
Salary:
£29,500.00-£29,504.00 per year
Schedule:
- 8 hour shift
- Monday to Friday
Ability to commute/relocate:
- Wolverhampton: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)
Licence/Certification:
- FLT Licence (required)
- Gas Safe Certificate (required)
- Powered Lift Truck Licence (required)
- MEWP Licence (required)
