Personal Assistant to the Director of Corporate Services - 24 hours per week

We are seeking a PA to provide an effective and confidential service to our Director of Corporate Services.

You will be working in St Oswald's Hospice's Corporate Services directorate which supports our Board of Trustees of St Oswald's Hospice and Directors of St Oswald's Hospice Promotions Ltd and oversees many of the services that ensures the hospice works effectively day to day.

You will support Trustees and Directors in their roles by acting as a key point of contact and overseeing the management of their recruitment, induction, on-going experience and the Trustees' visit's programme.

You will also ensure effective communication channels between St Oswald's Hospice and its insurance broker are in place and working at all times and that all matters are dealt with appropriately to minimise the risk to St Oswald's Hospice


You will have:


  • At least 2 years' experience working in a PA role, including the drafting of papers and other high level correspondence.
  • In depth knowledge of Microsoft packages, including Word, Excel, Teams, Outlook and PowerPoint.
  • Significant experience of supporting senior staff, including their workload planning and prioritisation.
  • High level organisation skills with an eye for detail.

Corporate Services includes many of the services that ensures the hospice works effectively day to day. These includes Technology and Business Intelligence, Facilities Management, Purchasing, Reception, Risk Management including insurance and Sustainability. We also provide support to our Board of Trustees and Directors of St Oswald's Hospice Promotions Ltd.

I'm the Director of Corporate Services and have been here over 20 years.


You will be directly working with myself and two other PA's who support the Executive Team as well as working with colleagues across St Oswald's Hospice.

You will be working on a wide range of activities and be the key point for our trustees, directors of our Promotions company and our insurance broker.


Our Corporate Services team might have a mix of interests outside work but there's one thing we all have in common; we are committed to doing our very best to make sure that we provide a great service to everyone.
