We have a current opportunity for a Young Persons Support Worker on a temporary basis. The position will be based in Birmingham, a car driver isn't necessary but is an ideal. For further information about this position please apply.

This role will be a 12 week temporary placement with a view to offer a permanent contract after.

Responsibilities of a Young Persons Support Worker

  • You will spend your time offering a 1:1 support service to young people, enabling them to live as independently as they can
  • Provide a crucial role line managing a small team of Support Workers, under the guidance of the Project Manager, conducting regular supervisions and case management sessions
  • Work closely with our service users to work on developing their independence, seeking out opportunities for them to learn, work and get involved in community and social activities
  • Carrying out routine health and safety checks
Requirements of a Young Persons Support Worker

  • Proven track record of working with Young People
  • DBS on the update service or issues within the last 12 months
  • Able to start asap and hit the ground running
  • A driver isn't essential but ideal will need to be able to commute around the Birmingham area
