The joint medical school of the Universities of Hull and York, Hull York Medical School has a reputation as one of the UKs most exciting, contemporary schools.

The Executive Office is a friendly, helpful and innovative team that works to support colleagues across the School, providing assistance and disseminating information to staff while managing the day-to-day business of the School.

The Marketing and Communications Team looks after the Medical School's outward facing image, runs the social media and supports student recruitment activity.

This role will work closely with both the Executive Office and the Marketing and Communications Teams, linking activity to produce high quality events for our staff.

Varied and challenging, this role will lead on a wide range of events, large and small for specific target audiences and objectives.

  • Experience of events management
  • Excellent planning and organisation skills
  • A collaborative, cando approach to work
  • Effective written and verbal communication styles
  • Level 3 qualification
