Foundation Stage-Nursery Assistant/Teaching Assistant and Teaching Assistants Required

These are full-time (although part-time considered) term time only role.

Starting date:

30.41 hours per week

Monday to Friday - 8:45am to 3:20pm

The Coombes Church of England Primary School are looking for a fun, energetic and committed team member to join our Nursery and Foundation Stage team.

Working as part of our friendly team, you'll be involved in supporting the learning and development of children in our Nursery and Foundation Stage class.

Main purpose:

The role involves supporting children in our Nursery and EYFS as well as across older year groups in the school.

You will be leading small groups and 1:1 sessions both indoors and outdoors.


Duties include:

• Establishing positive relationships with pupils
• Supporting pupils with activities which support literacy and numeracy skills
• Supporting play activities both in class and during breaktimes
• Promoting positive behaviour and helping keep pupils on tack
• Assisting with displaying and presenting pupils' work
• Assisting with taking pupils on educations visits

General requirements:

• Experience with, or a love of, working with young people
• Basic understanding of health and safety for young children
• Understanding and implementing child protection procedures
• An awareness of commitment to equality
