Administrator (Temp Position) - Leeds months) £10,000 for 6months

Simpson Millar are looking for an Administrator (temporary) to join our busy Legal Practice area based in Leeds. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to gain legal experience in a fast-paced legal environment


As an experienced administrator you will report directly into the Head of Department, providing support to the Legal Practice Area.


You will be undertaking various tasks such as:

  • Management of the Legal Practice Unit (LPU) central limitation, Key date and hearing and diary;
  • Organising the regular team meetings along with agenda preparation.
  • Taking minutes of the regular team meetings along with actions as required.
  • Support the LPU with data integrity & Active matter cases & MI.
  • Supporting the team with file closures.
  • Supporting the team with raising bills, chasing payment on outstanding bills and interface between the department and the credit control function.
  • Support the team with chasing receipt of thirdparty reports.
  • Support the team in chasing client authorities.
  • Providing administrative support to the team as required
  • Provide overflow support on calls for the department.

Your key smart objectives will be:

  • To meet all external and internal KPIs as set by the firm.
  • To produce work which is consistently to an accurate and reliable standard.
  • To develop good working relationship with Clients and other members of staff within the organisation
  • Ability to prioritise workload and meet deadlines.
  • Undertaking general support duties to the department
  • To work with a case management system, databases, and normal office IT systems
  • Compliance with all company policies and applicable regulatory requirement to the role
  • Ensuring the confidentiality and security of all firm and client documentation and information


You will have excellent personal organisation and ability to adhere to strict time limits as well as the ability to multi-task and retain strong attention to detail.

You will take account of equality and diversity in all aspects of your performance of the role whilst having excellent oral and written communication skills.
