Our client, a reputable secondary school located in Worthing, is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Teaching Assistant to join their SEND team.

This is a full-time role starting in September 2024, offering the opportunity to make a significant impact on the lives of young learners.


Key Responsibilities:

Pastoral Support:Provide emotional and social support to students, helping to create a nurturing and inclusive environment.

Academic Assistance:Support students in their academic pursuits, working closely with teachers to deliver tailored assistance and interventions.

Individualized Learning:Assist in developing and implementing Individual Education Plans (IEPs) for students with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND).
-
Classroom Management:Help manage classroom behavior and ensure a positive learning environment.

Communication:Liaise with teachers, parents, and other professionals to support the holistic development of students.


Requirements:

-
Experience:Previous experience in a similar role within a secondary school setting is desirable.

Skills:Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students, staff, and parents.

Qualities:A patient, empathetic, and flexible approach to supporting diverse learning needs.

Qualifications:Relevant qualifications in education or SEND are an advantage but not essential.
